RIJEKA OIL REFINERY

Rijeka, Croatia

As part of the construction and modernization of the Rijeka Oil Refinery, geodetic works are being performed under the role of chief geodetic supervision.

Project Description:

Through investment in a Delayed Coker Unit (DCU), reconstruction of existing facilities, construction of a new port with enclosed storage, and increased production complexity, the Rijeka Oil Refinery is being transformed into one of the most modern refineries in Europe.

With a total investment of over HRK 4 billion, this is the largest single investment project in the company’s history.

By implementing the DCU, the refinery’s product structure will significantly improve by increasing the share of profitable “white” products such as diesel and gasoline. This ensures sufficient fuel supply for both the domestic market and key export markets.

Geodetic Supervision Activities:

  • Construction of new complexes, facilities, and buildings

  • Reconstruction of existing systems and facilities

  • Construction and reconstruction of infrastructure systems

Project Significance:

This project represents a strategic investment that ensures greater energy efficiency, increases economic sustainability, and strengthens the role of the Rijeka Oil Refinery on both domestic and international markets.

With a strong focus on modernizing production capacities and sustainability, the project contributes to the long-term development of the regional energy sector.
