EL-TO CHP ZAGREB
Zagreb, Croatia
On the construction project of the high-efficiency combined heat and power plant CHP EL-TO Zagreb, geodetic works were carried out in the role of main geodetic contractor.
Project Description:
The new CHP EL-TO Zagreb combined heat and power unit, with an electrical capacity of 150 MW and thermal capacity of 114 MW, represents a key investment for the reliable supply of electricity and heat to the city of Zagreb. The project contributes to increased energy efficiency and supply security.
Geodetic Works Performed:
-
Gas Turbine:
Control of allowable deviations during the installation of structural elements using 3D laser scanning. Millimeter-accurate results were used for further mechanical alignment. -
Steam Turbine:
Verification of allowable deviations during turbine installation using closed-loop leveling methods. Measurement quality was controlled by Doosan Škoda Power. -
Heat Exchangers:
Inspection of deviations between the as-built state of the heat exchanger flange and the designed specifications. -
Metal Profiles:
3D modeling of part of the facility’s structure to analyze misalignments of guide rails and produce matching steel profiles. -
Access Roads:
Topographic survey of the existing terrain, staking out and as-built documentation, volume calculations of used materials, and obtaining necessary permits for project completion.
Project Significance:
The construction of this high-efficiency unit ensures a stable and sustainable energy supply for Zagreb, with improved efficiency and reliability. Geodetic works contributed to the precise execution of key infrastructure components, ensuring long-term quality and durability of the facility.
